The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted a test with Reliance Jio being the fastest 4G services provider with the speed of 18 megabits per second in June. Though the average speed of Reliance Jio has reduced from 19.12 Mbps in the beginning of the month to 18.65 Mbps, recorded at the end of June.
The telecom service provider has managed to secure its top position from part seven months, whereas on the other hand, Airtel was placed last with 8.91 Mbps 4G speed. The company claimed to be the faster service provider, but the result says differently. As per the reports from TRAI, if comparing the speed with the rival incumbent Vodafone, Jio managed to provide download speed about 68 per cent faster. The results also give the data for Vodafone with Vodafone with average download speed of 11.07 Mbps at the end of June. While on the other hand, Idea Cellular registered itself with an average download speed of 9.4 Mbps.
If we talk about the results on 3G sector, Vodafone secured the top position with an average download speed of 5.16 Mbps, then comes Airtel with the speed of 3.56 Mbps, followed by Idea 2.94 Mbps, Aircel 2.39 Mbps and BSNL at 1.65 Mbps.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) takes the help of its MySpeed application on a real-time basis for calculating and computing the average speed of different incumbents. In the era of the 4G network, there is a constant race in telco service providers to allure maximum to maximum customers, these results will have their effects.
