Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is trying to trigger the competition offered by other telecom companies. In its latest bid, the state-run firm, has increased the 3G data limit by up to three times in the same price plan. This offer is available for its pre-paid customers only.
In a statement issued by the State-run telecom firm said, “It has decided to offer up to three times free data on existing prepaid 3G data coupons available in the market,”.
According to the latest development, the company announced that customers buying its Rs 99 data coupons will get 1.5 GB data. It will be valid for 30 days. In contrast to its previous 500MB offer. Also, the company is offering a another low-cost data coupon. A Rs 19 coupon will now provide triple data at 750 MB. In effect to its existing 250MB 3G data.
Additionally, in another plan, with recharge of Rs 319, consumers can enjoy 2 GB of 2G or 3G data per day. Moreover, Users will have the benefit of unlimited free MTNL to MTNL calls in Delhi and Mumbai. Also, they will get free 25 minutes on other networks daily. This offer will come with a validity of 28 days.
Previously, another state-run telecom firm BSNL doubled the 3G data usage limit. In one of their Rs 549 plan, they are offering 10 GB 3G Data from an existing 5 GB. In another economical plan of Rs 156, 3G data usage doubled to 2 GB from 1 GB. Similar plans are being brought by private firms to counter the tariff war initiated by Reliance Jio.
